Day 30: Dingle Loop, Ireland

This morning we went to a beach on the Dingle Peninsula. The kids skipped stones. It had warmer water than other beaches we have visited. It also had the most beautiful shells of any beach I have ever visited. And I am from Florida, so...
Next we stopped off at a viewpoint on Conor Pass. We ended up climbing all the way to the top of the mountain! No trail, but we all made it. Adi had been wants to do this since arriving in western Ireland. The views were amazing until a cloud rolled in. The kids loved being enveloped by a cloud. We were tired and hungry on the way down. My mountain goat children picked out a route for us to follow and we all made it down safely. On our way to the parking lot the kids started talking to another family. They are from our same small town, live about a half mile from us, also homeschool, and we know mutual people. It is a small world!
We went to Dingle, got lunch food, and began the Dingle Loop. It is a driving loop with scenic views and cute small towns. Multiple movies have been filmed here: Far and Away, Ryan’s Daughter, and The Last Jedi. It was beautiful. We didn’t hike anymore because we were tired, but it we could have. There were trails and magnificent views.
We visited an old Oratory and another old church. Each church’s stonework is different and awesome. The churchyard  had an Ogham stone in it!
We headed back to the Band B for dinner and laundry. I am coming down with a cold, so I hoped to go to bed early, but no. I hope I feel better and not worse in the morning.
