Day 9: Canoeing in Dalarna, Sweden

Today we canoed on the Vaxnon River. We rented two canoes and were driven to the launch point for a four-hour downstream trip. We stopped for lunch and then again for a swim. It was too cold for me, but everyone else had an awesome swim in the river. We got back late after a great trip.

  1. I agree. I like my water temp close to bath water. Whose tracks are those? Deer? Is there a language barrier?

    1. Moose tracks! They were huge! There is moose scat pictured, I think, in the previous day. We are traveling with Swedes, so we have lots of personal translators. Although, most people speak some English. Traveling without personal translators is totally possible. Reading food labels is the biggest language challenge, but Google Translate helps so much with that.
