Day 2: Ancient Rome + Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps

Yep. There is so much amazing stuff to see here. We walked 14 miles today. We could have cut this down if we would have used the subway more often, oh well.
We saw:
Palatine Hill- the site of the old palace of the emperors. It was so extensive!
Roman Forum- including the site where Mark Antony tried to crown  Julius Caesar and the spot where the Caesar was burned.
Basilica di San Clemente- A 12th century church, built on an 4th century church, built on a 1st century cult meeting place and possible Roman mint. I think. It was a little confusing.
Colosseum- Including looking down into the lower level where the animals and gladiators hung out and the theaterical pieces were prepped.
Capitoline Hill
The Pantheon and the tomb of Raphael, which is inside
Santa Maria sopra Minerva- Gothic church
Vegan gelato
Church of San Luigi dei Francesi
Piazza Navona and the Four Springs Fountain
The only cigar shop in Rome apparently. It is fancy.
Trevi Fountain- we threw our coins :)
Spanish Steps
Gucci
H and M, where Ezi scores some new skinny jeans.
Finally, back to the apartment and some homemade dinner!
We did laundry and got to bed later than everyone wanted. But still, an amazing day!
